DoveSong Retreat was created from a deeply personal place—one that many families know all too well. When it came time to find care for our own mother and mother-in-law, we were overwhelmed by choices that felt too clinical, too impersonal, or simply not good enough for someone we loved. We longed for a place that felt like home: peaceful, comforting, and filled with genuine care.
What began as a single home has grown into a small, thoughtfully run network of assisted living residences across Arizona. But our mission remains the same—to offer a better way to care for seniors: one rooted in compassion, respect, and community.
We believe every resident deserves to feel known, safe, and truly at home. That’s why we maintain small resident-to-caregiver ratios, employ a loving and highly trained staff, and take the time to understand each individual’s needs, preferences, and story.
Our homes are designed with intention—from the serene décor and private patios to the covered porches and Arizona-inspired landscaping. Daily life is filled with warmth and rhythm: shared meals, enriching activities, gentle routines, and compassionate support. It’s not just about assistance—it’s about dignity, connection, and joy.

Nathan attended the University of Arizona where he obtained a degree in Care, Health, and Society. This was a program centered on the humanistic and empathetic approach to healthcare while still integrating science. Nathan started his career in senior living at the age of 23. He began as a caregiver in a standalone memory care community. He worked overnights and days to truly learn what it was like to be a caregiver and all that it entails. He was fortunate enough to be selected into a director in training position. From there, he spent time working as the business office manager, sales, activities, and eventually health services as a resident care coordinator. From there, Nathan moved on to become a memory support director at an assisted living facility and eventually manager of a residential care home.
Nathan takes great pride in serving seniors and providing the highest quality of life possible. He enjoys spending time with his residents and building connections with their families and his care staff.
